Thanks lynzpower, I will check out full and final settlements. It would be a huge weight of my mind for a happy, debt free future!!!

I know what you mean, think it's gonna be the best way but need to find the cheapest way to pay them off so I dont lose everything. The alternative would be to keep the securtiy, the house, the equity in the house and continue to pay the arrangements, none of these debts are secured on the house?

but they can apply for the debts to be secured to the house at any time. thats the thing.

So you are best of clearning and closing down.

Have you ever done a SOA before, might be a good idea to tighten your belt a bit in any case.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

What's an SOA? already tightened the belt. The debts were caused mainly due to a previous relationship and I have already down sized and paid alot off, but still couldnt clear the lot. Now just need to wipe the slate clean so I can move on

Hi, Just to add my thoughts I would pay off the debts and start over. as Lynz has already said that freedom must be wonderful and I know that one day im going to get there as im a true DFW Convert ;)

A SOA is a statement of Affairs (see SS's First timers post at the top of the forums). If you post it up we will help you try to make further savings or give you advice were you could make a difference.

Thank you for that, I will do the SOA.

Having listened to all the advice I am definately going to sell my home, pay my debts off and be able to wake up with out guilt or dread in my life. Thank you for all your comments and hopefully I will still get my break to do some travelling. I knew in my heart that this was the way to go, just hard making so many decisions. Thank you
