I've won, or have I?

Today I received a letter telling me I was the winner of a ViaMichelin Navigation X970TS Sat Nav system. Yippee! Its my first win ever, but ......

the letter was dated 2 July and said that if I had not accepted the prize by 9th July the prize would be forfeited :-(

I have sent them an email, so here's hoping. Anyone know if I'm likely to still get my prize?

Btw I used the grabbit while u can last week and purchased a tomtom one xl from QVC!!

It is postmarked 2 July although the comp wasn't supposed to be drawn until 3 July. Also (not that it will probably help) I am in S Yorks where we have had all the flooding and a postal strike!

Poor you. I used to live in Hull which has taken a battering lately, it must have been really difficult for you. Maybe if you point out to them that the letter only arrived today and explain the situation they might be nice and let you have the prize still. If not, complain bitterly!

Let's hope they come through for you, bit tight of them to expect you to confirm you want the prize in that time (but I know some comapanies do this). I imagine you could miss the prize of a lifetime if you where away on holiday with no internet :mad:
