Coffee machine

Hi
Ive got a birthday coming up and quite fancied a coffee machine.
Got to be one of the cheaper models, looking at the dolce gusto or the Tassimo
Any thoughts please
Also I can't have caffeine. So am I limited to one type of decaf. And hot chocolate

the tassimo machines use concentrated milk rather than powder so make better milk based drinks and do a bigger range of hot chocolates. neither has a good range of decaf coffees though, especially if you want a frothy decaf drink you would have to buy your pods online for that.

Is it just the price or also the convenience of the pods you like? If it is only the price you can get an espresso machine with milk frothing arm for the same price as a tassimo/dolce gusto machine. This would allow you a far wider choice of decaf coffees and make much tastier frothy milk, which you can also use to make luxurious hot chocolate.

Not to mention buying loose ground coffee and milk is so much cheaper than the pods and save you a fortune in the long run.
