We have been reading a lot of the financial boards and have gone from thinking all would be ok as we move towards retirement and with savings etc to worrying now that we really have no clue about what to expect apart from the figures we see on yearly statements etc.

How do we find a good IFA ?
Easy. https://www.unbiased.co.uk That is the main database and advisers get their qualifications checked by it and have to submit their annual professional standing statement.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
By far the best way is if you can get a personal recommendation from someone you trust. If not, then unbiased is an excellent start. You should probably contact a few firms to decide which is the one you want to deal with your affairs.I am a Chartered Financial Planner
