Re-tweeting tweets please help

HI everyone one ive been on tweeter for a while and i only retweet the post the company post, i have a follower on twitter how always retweets my tweet and not the companys i have asked this person if when he retweets my tweet does that then cancel my tweet out and he said as long as it is the tweet they have tweeted its fine and i will be still entered but im worried just in case there wrong can anyone give my the answer as i have im not aware of all the twitter rules on comping it would be get if anyone can clear this up for me,

I'm interested to know too. I got told by another tweeter to stop retweeting their tweets so I assume it's faux pas.

I have ask people on a weekly basis to stop retweeting my tweets. I just point out that they won't be entered into the competition unless they tweet the promoters tweet. Whether that's true or not I don't know but it seems to work.

retweeting someone elses comp retweet is just darn lazy IMO.

Block them, problem solved.

Blocking doesn't stop them seeing your public timeline.

But it does stop them retweeting which was the OP's problem.

Oh no it doesn't, it won't show in your notifications that they are RT'ing your RT's as you have them blocked, but they can still RT all company tweets off your feed

Darn it. I really was hoping it was a deterrent.

If it is the actual company tweets, people are RT'ing then neither you or they will be disqualified, if it is your personally constructed tweets they are RT'ing it has been said that some companies will disqualify you (not sure how much truth there is in that though, as have seen people winning by RT'ing personal tweets from others and no original company RT's)
Personally it doesn't bother me if people RT company tweets off my feed, but I know it does annoy a lot of folk for some reason xx
