Sat/Sun 19th/20th July - What small DFW things will you do this weekend?

Morning DFW-Jedis,
Here's our household's list for today. All credit to my OH who also made me a wee gift yesterday of an "everlasting notepad" to keep on my coffee table. Here's how to make it:
1) Get a couple of sheets of paper or lightweight card.
2) Use a laminating machine to laminate the paper/card or use self-laminating pouches or sticky back plastic or cut out the clear plastic from a chocolate box or food packaging. You now have a wipeable surface.
3) Comb-bind the sheets together or hole-punch and fasten with a ribbon/string.
4) Write on with a whiteboard/erasable pen.
This cost us nothing as we had all the bits at home already. Idea taken from Esquoia. (Link)
The List:
Deep cleaning the Bathroom using minimal cleaning products (Stardrops, one Baby Bottle Sterilising Tablet, hot water and elbow-grease.
Find OH's passport which isn't in its home.
Breakfast was home-baked bread, an egg and a slice of pastrami bought at the friendly, local butcher yesterday. We have taken to only buying tiny amounts of quality meat instead of medium amounts of cheap quality/low taste stuff.[/B]
Eat home-grown potatoes.
Bring more sweet peas indoors to fragrance the bedroom.
Do i-Say surveys. (above)
Watch iPlayer for an hour. Forgot to record something the other night.

Right, that's me. OH is taking me for a drive to a local viewpoint today with a flask of coffee if the weather holds. Free entertainment!Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
Morning
awwwww gotta love the weekend :j although first week of my new job and am loving work as well :T really hope it stays this way as the last 2 jobs I have had (for about 2 1/2years) were not good for me.
Yesterday's MSE efforts:
* did a load of washing hung on line, a few bits need to go back out
* B/L from stores
* parked 10 mins out of town in free parking spot
* went to library & renewed dgd's books so we didn't incur fines (forgot to take them with me so didn't return)
* took out 2 more books & a cd - songs & stories for bedtime wind down
* stayed in rather than going out - tis an expensive time for us now and we have a festival to go to in a couple of weeks, so keeping our purses close!
* watched a really good film with oh
* went to a friend's BBQ at a pub in aid of cancer research. I spent £8.50, think oh spent more so will give him some cash
* went to meet a childminder. This one will work out £20 pw less. She does a day rate rather than hourly which means from time to time if we need an earlier drop off or later pick up it's no extra cost. She also doesn't charge for her 4 weeks per year holidays & we get 2 weeks per year holidays where we don't have to pay her. Which means over a year it's about £150 pm less :T seems really nice and a very good offsted report
* dgd went to dd overnight
Today:
* [STRIKE]dgd being dropped off at 2[/STRIKE]
* [STRIKE]have done fridge/(indoors) freezer/larder inventory[/STRIKE]
* still to do outside freezer
* meal plan based on the above
* [STRIKE]sanding hall doors - finally actually doing it!
[/STRIKE]
* B/L from stores
* going for bbq at bff's house so dgd can spend time with her and become familiar with them for times when she stays over
* super speedy 1 hour house clean ready for week ahead! Using all products in the house
* [STRIKE]put away mountains of washing[/STRIKE] still 2 more loads to put away!
* prepare clothes for working week
* [STRIKE]make banana bread & shortbread for snacks in the week/packed lunches[/STRIKE]
* list a few things on ebay
* bath & beautify later
* watch another film, sew, or read my book to relax this evening
*[STRIKE] did water test on 6 eggs that are by their use by date. Going to use some today & freeze the rest
[/STRIKE]
Have a lovely day everyone xDF as at 30/12/16

Today's very small efforts
*Moved 2 butternut squash plants from a place they clearly don't like to an area of raised bed they may like better.
*Watered greenhouse veggies. Will be picking first 2 aubergines soon.
*Dug 2 buckets of lovely free home made compost out of compost bin to enrich our veggie plot.
*Have loaded washer for a cheap overnight wash tonight.
*Packed breakfast & lunch for mr f who has an early start tomorrow.
*Popped veggies not eaten at lunch time into plastic box to use in some home made soup this week.
*Entered a competition
*Did a few surveys. Over half way to next Toluna voucher already!
*Have made progress on the jumper I'm knitting as a present. Graphic finished, just got to knit up rest of front & do the sleeves now. Hope to have it finished by end of this week so I can start remaining 2 items I'm intending as presents.
*Discussed next year's holidays with mr f - have decided to replace one week in a nice holiday cottage with an extra week of camping (probably somewhere in t'north) to save around £350 for re-embursing some of the money we will almost certainly have to borrow from our Rainy Day Fund to pay the balance on the new bathroom. Didn't remotely feel like a sacrifice as we both love going off in our tent. So different to how we used to be when everything went straight on credit with never a backwards glance.
That's it till tomorrow when I shall be on Rubber Chicken Duty.
f x2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!0
