Hello lovely DFWers - old timers and newbies. Welcome to the weekend :j
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today I will do the following:
- have storecupboard meals
- clicks and surveys
- post ebay package
- post OH bank charge reclaims
- not take my purse when I go out so can't spend
- be positive
I would like to say that I will not increase my debt in any way, but as DS's bike is ready for collection having been repaired, and he has already been without it for months due to lack of funds, I will have to put almost £60 on the credit card. But it was a small dfw step every day that it sat in the shed with no cogs on
I hope you all have a good day and that the sun shines for you!

Hi hypno, hi all, I'm back on the trail again after a few days away. Today:
- I've just done a soa/budget - its better than I thought, and I don't quite know why, but I'm not going to knock it.
- check I've paid off my Visa in full (use it every month).
- check online money - if all is well, pay off £500 from mortgage.
- clicks and surveys
- can I brave the black widow-related spiders (imports to this country via Gatwick, now breeding in the wild - in my back garden) to plant up a windowbox with salad greens? Don't know, tbh. I can clear some rubbish away.....
- had taken my amazon books down from the website while I went away - v pleased I got them, and a few others, back up within 24 hours of getting back. Some 1990s travel books priced *weirdly* high - they can't possibly sell for £40+.... watch this space.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Hi
Not much planned today
Going to make sure I stick to meal plans - need to use some of the veg that's turning today in the fridge.
Need to buy some vitamins, but going to stop myself from unnecessary spending in town.
Think that's about it!

Best get back into this , as I am having a serious crack at this again. Been slack the last few months
Today I have
1) Analysed all my phone costs and saving around £25 a month
2) Washe dout two empty cola bottles. I am out on site a lot and spend a small forttune on drinks so these will get used this week. I reckon I will save £10 a week by taking drinks in
3) Not spend a thing.
4) Bag up my small change to take to bank Monday (£5 in 1p`s)0
