In desperate need of a new printer

Please could anyone advise me on which is the best printer to get. By best, I mean cheap, easy to use, works well and basic.
I rarely use it. Except for printing out all my business paperwork once a year and the odd postage label. I currently use HP Photosmart D5460 which I've had for a few years with no problems, but in the last 6 months or so it's been nothing but a pain in the a**e.
It's definetly time for a new one. It's on its way out! I can't afford much but I need one that's easy enough for a technophobe (me lol) to use. One that's cheap to buy with cheap ink cartridges. I've heard of lasers and how they can last for ages but they are so expensive!
