Quickie Question - Nectar Points @ Sainsburys

Just a quick question if anyones awake!
What are nectar points worth? ie, how many points would earn you a pound (just spending instore)

At Sainsbury's you have to spend a minimum of £1 to earn nectar points, and each £1 is worth two points. When it comes to redeeming them you need to have a mimimum of 500 points which would entitle you to £2.50 off at Sainsbury's. You can only spend them in denominations of 500 points/£2.50 there.

Also I think that there is a 'new' rule in that you no longer have a nominated store - you need to shop in the store and swipe your Nectar card then around 3 days later you can redeem your points there

I have just reread the opening post, and now realise that there was no reference to Sainsbury's made!

Nectar is the points card for a lot of retailers, including Argos and Debenhams and the saving and spending of points can be different depending on where you're shopping. I think a good look through https://www.nectar.com may be useful. I know some shops don't ask for your Nectar card, so you've got to know to give it to the cashier before you pay.
