I managed to buy 2 from Reading (last 2 they had...)
Got them home, and released them...
They have done the hallways, a bedroom, nursery, and the lino in the kitchen.
If you are expecting these to be a replacement for a vacuum cleaner, then you will be disappointed. As they don't have convenional beaters, and the suction motor runs from batteries, they won't pick up debris like threads. However, we did find that the carpets did look as though they were cleaner, and did look more presentable. The kitchen flooring looked much better, and all the wood cat litter dust was picked up. All in all, a worthwhile spend, as long as they keep working!
Cheers to the OP0 -

. That and previous experiences of hand held rechargeable vacuums with similarly small battery packs, meant I left it on the shelf.

Took mine back today the woman on the refunds desk said that they'd gone through 4 demonstrators!
Apparently the battery keeps burning out on them.
Can you imagine paying £100 for it.
I got a refund.

Thanks to SB I popped to my localish B&Q warehouse and eventually found them beside the Service Desk. 8 left there after I bought mine, not sure if there are more.
My daughter tried (played) with it on a bit of carpet and you could see that it had made a bit of a difference as she used it in the hall where it was particularly dirty. However I think it will come into its own on the hard flooring and I really like the size of it as it can pop under the bed and in fact live there quite happily0 -
I got one for my sister, the remote doesn't work on hers, taking mine back for refo as well, you could see it had done the floor, but it still needed vacuuming, and I think the battery has packed in now. There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0

Hmmmm............ whats the verdict??
Worth getting just to give the floor a quick effort before vistors come round (and as a novelty value)
or
give it a miss as its a waste of money???
For Hampshire people out there I've checked out 4 stores and they have stock in Havant and Portsmouth B&Q and not in Hedge End or Nursling.... typical!
This telephone number that I phoned managed to check the stock in all 4 stores and the gentleman was very helpful! 08702 4352334Official DFW Nerd 2100 -

I'd say buy it! Marvin is brilliant! But it does say use on shorter pile carpets, which might be why everyone is less than impressed.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209
