Anything I can do to move things along?

I have sold my home to a FTB who has just recently got his mortgage offer from Nationwide and I've purchased a property from a couple who are not needing to secure a mortgage (they are also the end of the chain). We are now one month into the process.

My mortgage application is taking a bit of time. My broker messed up and used the wrong employer address (although I told her numerous times what it was) on my application so I've been waiting two weeks for a employer reference form to arrive (its been 3 weeks since the full application went in) and still nothing.

Both sides of the chain are pushing for a quick move but I feel totally out of control in speeding things up. Is there anything I can be doing to push solicitors etc. along so once we finally get the offer everything is in place and good to go?

I'm applying through Platform so I cant ring them direct (broker only) and my broker seems to respond to my queries only when she feels like it.
