Hi , i am new to this forums and a FTB so seeking some assistance.
I am looking to buy a property which currently i am renting atm. The price we have agreed is at 150K. I am currently earning 30K per annum
(1946 net per month ). I dont have any loans or any commitment on credit cards, just the usual utility and food bills. I am looking to put a 15 percent deposit (22.5k) on 30 year term. I dont have any dependent , just the wife and she works part time. But i am looking for the mortgage on my own so not looking to add my wife name into it.
I have checked my credit score for both experian and equifax. My experian credit score is 983 and my equifax credit score is 488.
Can anybody advise me if i qualify for mortgage or not , as i am looking for the mortgage only own my name? and do you think my credit score is good enough for the mortgage? thanks

forget the scores, lenders don't look at that. They look at raw data such as % of outstanding debt and defaults/CCJ's.
If all this is ok this is definitely doable.

My wife dont have any credit history, as she is been in this country only for 1 year , no bills nothing on her name. So i dont want to face a situation where my mortgage getting rejected bcoz of no credit history of my wife. The deposit is solely mine.0
