What you should have asked is:
What can I do to ensure my lender does not find out I am moving into a property I took out a BTL mortgage on.

Why not apply for a normal mortgage on it?

Think carefully before doing this, I have actually known lenders to call in the loan when they have found out, giving the homeowner 30 days to remortgage or move out. As it happened they granted an extension on that 30 days as they were shown an application was in progress.

Be very careful, most BTL will call in the mortgage if they find out, not difficult as they can ask for lease agreement and proof of payments.

it one of the thigs considered "high risk" when BTL companies make the loan.

Either tell NO-ONCE, not even your mother that your mortgage is buy to let or move it to a residential mortgage
