Hi there I am 58 with 5 different pension funds I have lost track of 2 and can't seem to find the trustees. I saw "build a better pension.com" on line and they maintain they can track these down and they want me to sign a letter to allow them to look for these. They say they are a free service but that any financial advice i take will cost about 3% (of what?) Should I get their free statement, or keep trying on my own to track these pensions down?

Hi all,I am trying to trace an old pension from the mid 90's,a while ago I contacted this site and ended up contacting a free tracing company who after a while found the pension. All the comunication was done over the phone so I nothing in writing to contact them. Can anyone remember who they where?.They said they had found the pension and that they would add it to my present work place pension but Ive had no further contact from them for over a year just wondered why?? Thanks in advance to any one who may know.

I have been in touch with THE PENSION TRACING SERVICE to try and trace my old lost pensions.
I saw the MSE on their site saying they were on the BBC,
Can anyone tell me if this Company is legit or not, as i can't understand what they get out of giving a free service.
Is there some sort of catch. they said it is all free, not sure if I am going to give away my pensions unwittingly.:(0 -
This is the URL of the proper one, run by DWP and FREE https://www.gov.uk/find-lost-pension
Any others are chargeable services at best and scams at worst.
Always go to the DWP or the .gov.uk site to do any of these services.0 -
the dwp site is excellent it found one of mine in 24 hours!0
