I couldn’t believe it when I got the email last week to say I had won this!
A fantastic end to the week and start to the weekend. Sat was my birthday too! As I felt lucky I decided to buy a lotto ticket that day and won a fiver!

Mega thanks to Lakshmi7.

I’ve been away a bit for birthday celebrations but also due to my pc breaking so I’ve been without a home computer for 3 weeks. To be honest, I don’t miss it much as I’m getting far more housework done and sleeping better. Amazing how much time is spent being idle in front of the computer. I pick it up today though (it’s been fixed by PC World who are a rip off!) and look forward to comping again.

Just an update - I did this course yesterday.

I was a bit annoyed with the train times not arriving early enough so it meant a planned trip and an overnight stay in a B&B. Also, it doens't seem far on the map but these country roads are misleading so it meant forking out for a taxi (£15 each way). All in all, it cost me quite a bit to claim my prize. A lesson learnt.

The course itself was marvellous, very hands on and learnt quite a bit. It got incredibly hot throughout the day as there was a lot of use of cooker/oven and the weather was very hot there yesterday too. But the afternoon my feet were beginning to hurt as it requires standing all the time. The course is 9:30-5pm and was standing all the way through. Towards the end, my aching feet combined with the heat made it not enjoyable and I was just looking forward to my 3 hour train journey back to London.

However, it was worth doing as I made some delicious food that I will be making again now that I have the recipe.

In hindsight, I would have either combined the course with a longer trip, even though I did resent forking out a lot of money just to claim my fab prize.
