Nikon S500 7megapixel around £100

Several online reputable places are offering the Nikon S500 for around the £160 mark (including dixons - with 5% egg discount on top).

Today Nikon announced two offers which make this a great buy. The first was to extend the warranty on all their digital products to 2 years. The second is to give £50 by redemption on all S500's when you send in the voucher found in the press today and over the weekend by 31st August.

The S500 is a top of the range digital camera, and with these offers is available for around the £100 mark.

Sorry off topic a little bit but I think 5% egg discount applies only when you buy online via dixon.co.uk while Nikon website says you must submit "a photocopy of your till receipt" which means you must buy in-store?

Is there any way to get both egg discount and Nikon redemption?

From past experience with Nikon, as long as it is a genuine UK proof of purchase, there should be no problem, as you also send page 2 of the warranty sheet which comes with the phone. Also, one of the options when buying from Dixons online is for them to send you the receipt by post.

Looks a good deal... camera looks ace and to get a Nikon for £100... but some reviews of this camera aren't exactly glowing.... do I risk it?

Why couldn't they just have these coupons on their website then or something... suppose chances are people will miss the voucher if they have to get it out of the paper!

Jessops have this model in-store but they say it is already reduced by £50 but only bringing it down to £199.

...yes, but if you look at some reviews, this was when the camera had a RRP of £250

Camera now appears to be free delivery at Dixons.
