15k credit card debt

can anyone tell me how i can get my credit card debts gone as the charges which although low are still hurtful and they do not eat into the balance. i do not really need to use them but i work alone and am self employed so work is up and down always but no massive spare money . problem is i had a bad arm injury and could hardly work for a year and turned to them to keep things afloat. I try to get a loan to pay them off and do a 5 year pay back but never get accepted. I try changing to 0% but again fail to get accepted.. so although i am trying to clear them i am not being helped by the system...i do own my house value around 250k with nothing on it..and no ties..would they allow me to borrow on that ? or not accept me...otherwise i have to battle on for 4 years then my pension would pay them off but its sickening paying and getting no where..any ideas ?

  • Can you try and get a steady job alongside your self-employment?

Also, there's a post somewhere that explains snowballing, where you pay the minimum on all debts except one and throw everything at that one until it's paid.

Also maybe post up an SOA?

    Good luck!

Maybe you can get a contractual job where you work from home
and they pay you a minimum amount every month.

This will make it easy for you to put aside some money
for credit card payments every month.

You could get a secured loan, but its a mighty risky considering your income is up and down, its never a good idea to consolidate debts in this way, maybe look at downsizing the house, would that be an option for you ?, clear your debts, maybe have some cash spare, get a smaller place, choices are limited I`m afraid !!

I'm not sure if you could get a secured loan for that amount to be honest. There aren't really any easy answers apart from knuckle down, cut your expenses as best you can and try and boost your income.
Sorry I can't think of any better ideas.
