Just want to add a bit more information to the sensible reply from Peaceful Waters, a halifax student account as zero overdraft charges for the length of your university course and also for 1 year after you have graduated to allow you clear the overdraft with any charges, how is this extortionate? Also the £1 a day overdraft fee on their standard bank accts surely is a benefit to the people who may only occasionally use it as before the charge was a straight £28 for the month. If they used it for 1 day or 30 days. I also confirm that each person had notification by post about the changes for each bank acct they held so if u had 2 bank accts you had 2 mailings, as in our house we had 5 mailings between the family. For you to have had a loan with them you must have been having an income of some sort as they do not provide a student loan acct only personal loans or secured loans, Is it not about time you considered perhaps this is your fault.

Thanks to everyone for your feedback - Mostly tellings off! But that's OK, it's helped me get clear. Peaceful Waters I will take your advice and let it go! Viola Lass - that's a good idea I will enquire..

Nobody was telling you off. They were just explaining the facts of the case that you were getting into a strop about.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
