Hi.
I have a pension that is managed through Openwork.
I don't really know much about financial stuff. This was recommended by a pensions adviser.
Is it worth staying there?
Any thoughts / comments please.

Openwork is a network for advisers, usually restricted. Are you unhappy with the service? If not, why move? Your OP couldn't be more vague if it had to.Stephen Covey once said that "when you teach once, you learn twice". That is the primary reason for my participation on the forums as an IFA.
Although I strive to provide accurate information in my posts, there may be the odd time when I fail. Yes I know it's hard to believe but even Your Hero can make mistakes. Apologies in advance.0 -
I have had a look at my pension fund & I seem to be spending a lot in charges & do not seem to have made much on my investment.
Just wanted to know whether anybody else had a pension with Openwork & if it was worth staying there.0 -
Who is the pension itself with? What name is on the pension documents?
Openwork advise on and distribute pension contracts issued by life insurance companies and Sipp operators. They don't manufacture pension products themselves.0 -
Openwork is not a provider. They arrange investments and products.I seem to be spending a lot in charges & do not seem to have made much on my investment.
Is that because of the timing or where you are invested? e.g. The stockmarkets fell 43% during the credit crunch. If you include that period, you would have seen losses followed by recovery but not a great amount overall. That wont be down to openwork advisers. It wont be down to the product and the investments will only do what investments do.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
