Can anyone please confirm that they have heard this before.
Our buyers are using Leek United BS to buy our house. They have sent the documents off to the Leek plus a few additional ones missing. We are now waiting for the survey.
The mortgage offer could take up to 10 weeks!!
Their broker said that once the valuation comes back and if its ok, will be sent to the solicitors and they will start their searches (all before mortgage offer is sent out). Has anyone else gone through that process?
We put an offer in, got accepted, sorted mortgage, got accepted, now solicitors do searches.
Any comments would be good.

It's took us roughly 22 weeks to get our mortgage offer! In the end we changed providers and got it within 4 weeks but the 1st company still hadn't issued it by time we got our offer
We only instructed our solicitors to do the searches once we got the mortgage because we didn't want to lose anymore money.0
