Struggling for a bank account

Ffrees were supposed to be introducing DD in Q1 2014. I'm lucky as all the majority of monthly payments I have are of fixed ammount so Standing Order have sufficed. Any others I've just contacted the company concerned and if there is any shortfall merely paid it on my card. Other than that Frees is a great basic account. Their envelopes are a good idea, however, I would really like the option to transfer on a weekly or 2 weekly basis as well as monthly, specifally for those like myself on benefits.

Additional: Not all retailers accept the Ffrees card. Don't ask me why. The only reason I can think of is that it's not directly linked to a banking organisation. ie whilst Ffrees has it's banking address as NatWest, Skipton you dont actually bank with NatWest.
