Well not me......I worked out what I spent in food shopping last month and it's less than £10 a week. There's only the two of us I know but that also included adding to a very healthy stash. How can I want more?

I think there's a fine line between being MSE and being greedy.

    evening all

i agree with you on this early on i reused one by mistake when the several big glitches were on and we all had several on the go, I felt so bad and thought i was going to be in trouble never went in that store for ages, we get it so good it really is not worth the risk and worry..
  • I quiet agree.

And what to do with the air freshners and flash!

You will soon start dreaming of shelving!

    :D:D:D:D:D

im actually laughing out loud, this must thrust the same slight madness on us all. im already eying up space in my garage, and its so weird i am stacking my stuff in neat rows. im also getting a bit protective over my stash, not keen on it dwindling lol

I couldn't have done that when DS and DD were at home. Plus I benefit from growing my own stuff and making meals from scratch....as a lot of others do on here.

I'm tempted ( only slightly) to shut down the shopping for the summer and live out of the freezer and the field but I couldn't do it. I would miss you all so much and to be honest I enjoy the "chase". The "stash" not only keeps DS and DD well stocked but the local foodbanks too.

    Win win.:)

I couldn't do it. I need too much fresh stuff. Fruit, bread, milk , other dairy stuff etc. Not to mention junk for the kids.
I do love the summer though when we can save a fortune on veg, not have the tumble drier on, no heating needed, people wearing less clothes....so less washing, hardly any lights needed.....I'm happy in the summer :D

It's the cucumbers that are taxing my brain at the moment sal. I don't fancy pickling them and they don't keep well once picked. Think I've counted 17 today which could all be ready within days of each other. A bumper crop:)

Ditto here, I have this problem every year. I grow too many plants 'just in case'. I give them away when I can but I still have loads. The chickens eat what I can't use or give away :o when they get fed up, I compost them....so not a complete loss.

The tomatoes are trickling through now :T:T
