Just got a text from my brother (he's at the opening ceremony)

"How's it coming across on TV?"

    Do i go with:

A: Looks great, you're so lucky. i wish I was there. Blah blah blah
    Or
B: Tell him the truth :rotfl:

Tell him he looks faaaaaabulous, like John Barrowman ;)

    Afternoon

I've had a great morning getting my life organised :D Can't bear my to do list swimming around in my head.

Got into Drs after only ringing for an appt this morning :T:eek: Managed some bargains in the chemist (a Cooperative one) Shelf full of medicines at 90% off :) Got some Compeed coldsore plasters for 69p and packs of Gaviscon liquid sachets for 44p

Then got a call back from the vicar to organise H's Christening :)

Had a quick trip to the park that wore H out to the point he asked to go for a nap ;):D

Finally got confirmation of our Peppa tickets for tomorrow (good memory Tiger :T)

So now having a bite of lunch and a cup of tea before I tackle the mess that used to be my coupon wallet :o May then treat myself with a trip to the shops this evening

Peppa at Paultons'? Took DGC today. Excellent time. Schools broke up today so not as busy as expected :D

PPW was the busiest. Would recommend doing the rest of the park first and PPW after 3. This morning it was a 45 min wait for each ride, at 4.00 it was walk on, walk off. :D

Three happy GC and friend now in bed. :D

Ooo, I am after a mattress, how much were they please VT for a double?

Sorry DM it was £146 for a very posh double but ex display so would need to visit your local Next at Home to see if they have any. It was lush so worth a look.

Sorry everyone I am only on early hours of tuesday mornings posts.

Woke up after a very eventful 2 days to find my dad was taken into hospital last night. He had had a blood test yesterday morning and his gp phoned him early evening to say results were back and a and e were expecting him. Not totally sure why but counts were low and he has to have several transfusions. Waiting further updates tomorrow.

Hope you have all been careful in the extreme heat.
I will now skim read to get up to speed. Not worried about missing any deals but hate to miss the chat.

I picked up my c&c earlier. Had ordered the Airwick purple candle but it was unavailable. They had subbed with the lavender flavoured one. The girl told me that I had not been charged any extra as both the fig and lavender had been reduced to £2. Now I'm not sure if the lavender has actually been reduced or if she was confused cos I was charged £2 for them. I went and had a look at the sel but it stated £3.98 and unfortunately I did not have time to scan one to see.

She probably meant it had been reduced to match the price of the OOS item. That's what they are supposed to do with any and all subs

Thanks VT. I wish I had got that argos one when they were on for about £80, hey ho, never mind.

    For the cooks...
I need to make some pectin free apricot jam. I was thinking perhaps apricots, sugar and some gelatin, but would like ideas if anyone has done such a thing before please.
Edit: found one that just uses sugar and lemon juice, I will give that a try.
