If im just in the house on the lappy, is there any benefit of spotify over youtube?

It can help you find new tunes by acts you like, and you can find playlists of music related to what you already like.

Quality's consistently good. It doesn't officially support my 12-year old macputer but unofficially I'm glad to say it still works. The time limit's off-putting so I ration myself and use the other free services I posted.
Instead of youtube I tend to just put on the neverendingplaylist in the background.

There have been better alternatives but they've been bought up by big commercial companies. :(

I believe Spotify stopped the limited thing a while back as people were leaving in droves, so as far as I'm aware it's just ads if you want the desktop and tablet 'free' version, or £9.99 a month for the ad-free premium.

Thanks I'll look into that! I can put up with the ads no problem and I very much like the Spotify interface.

Just to confirm my earlier comment, I've found this http://news.spotify.com/uk/2014/01/15/no-more-time-limits-on-spotify-freeyourmusic/, hope that helps :)

I know too well what you can admit to on here, I mean who in their right mind would admit to buying 20 packs of 50p........need I say anymore. :rotfl:

But I reckon your mistake was wishful thinking. :p
