Very nice - is this a result of your very careful savings schemes

    Or a vast salary

    Or both :rotfl:

    :rotfl:

To be fair...I've been saving since a very young age.

I feel as though I've been fortunate but also very careful with my money. I've always maxed out on interest where possible and have been risk averse towards a lot of my decisions. I've been chopping and changing savings accounts since I was 18 in order to gain the maximum interest.

Now I'm chopping and changing current accounts. :rotfl: I miss the days of ISAs paying 6+% interest.

    :(

Unfortunately, I'm part of the generation of savers who missed the opportunity when interest rates were 15+%. Boy, I would have been wetting my knicks back then.

No doubt, joining MSE has helped a lot too. It's easy to forget how much saving you can do on here. You physically can't see the savings...but if you do rough calculations then you can see the ££££s add up over a few years.

    :T

And know that I'm well and truly secured on the property ladder with another house earning some rental income...I feel as though I can get the cars that I've always dreamt of. I've got a S&S ISA that I'm not going to touch for another 10+ years...that's my Lamborghini fund.

    :rotfl:

Although a £70,000 Nissan GT-R should keep me entertained for a while.

    :D

By the way, doctors don't earn as much as you think.

    ;)

Where are people finding the straight cut Seabrooks please. Tia

I have this problem as well

On the mse cashback thread someone suggested that you can buy 2 Seabrooks for £2 in Morribobs for use on COS cashback but this might only be in the biggest stores
    - still not found them myself and I've got 2 versions on both my and OHs COS

You are an inspiration to us all :)

Yes you def need a focus for saving - property or holidays or a nice car - otherwise its money sitting in a bank doing nothing.
