  • Many years ago I went for an interview one winters morning and rushed out without a coat on, the place was in the city centre to be an advertising executive I would have been about 19 at the time and very nieve lol

when I arrived at the interview I was interviewed by a very talkative chap who asked me some basic questions and before I knew what had happened I was in the middle of a housing estate freezing my !!! off watching the talkative chap tap dance on peoples door steps in an attempt to break the ice so he could sell them cheap gas! he proudly taught me several sales tip's that day including if you see the no doorstep salesmen sign, make sure you knock!!! these people put up the sign because they are the easiest to sell too. so in the land of sales, there is an urban legend. lol needless to say I didn't continue with this 'advertising executive' role.

Lol! I had a very similar experience at about the same age. Thought I was going for a good job...:o

No I know I should have checked first but it's quite a distance so I guess I took a chance. Suppose I've been lucky so far.

I live 20 miles aways...I have to admit, I have ordered before I checked before. But before I picked the shop up, I popped into the shop, so I knew if I was going to reject it .. thank god it went well for me
