Child Benefit is payable to the end of August for all young people who left school in June. The CSA would happily oblige you to pay child maintenance whilst Child Benefit is in payment. Your child still needs a roof over his head, clothes on his back and some money in his pocket to go out with friends whether he is in school, college or job seeking. Or do you expect his mum to throw him out now?

if so its time he got a job

Agreed. If benefits stop its up to both parents if they want to carry on paying for their "children"
I'm never offended by debate & opinions. As a wise man called Voltaire once said, "I disagree with what you say, but will defend until death your right to say it."
Mortgage is my only debt - Original mortgage - January 2008 = £88,400, March 2014 = £47,000 Chipping away slowly! Now saving to move.

    Hi All,

My daughter is due to start college in 4 weeks time. It will mean that she will no longer be living with her Mother and will be living in residence at the college.

Will this effect my CSA payments? Whilst I understand my parental responsibility towards my daughter, I want to ensure that the money goes to where it’s needed.

    Thanks

I have no intention of shirking my responsibilities to my son but was just hoping to find out when I can stop supporting him 'via his mother'.
