Jumper knitting pattern suitable for 98% Acrylic & 2% Metallic Yarn?

Can anyone recommned a knitting pattern for a jumper which is suitable for 98% Acrylic & 2% Metallic Yarn? The jumper is for a female in her thirties. The wool should be visible in the photograph. Is there something else (ie cardigan) that would look nicer knit with this wool for this person?

Looks like it might be double knitting, if so you could use any double knitting pattern of your choice.

Look on Ravely. Plenty of free patterns to chose from.
    Try the charity shops too!

    Happy knitting.

That's the yarn from Poundland, isn't it? I have some and it is definitely dk weight so most dk patterns will suit. The tension on the label says 22 stitches/30 rows = 10cm square on 4mm needles so you can compare to the tension required on your chosen pattern.

Also agree with good advice above - living up to the username ;) check Ravelry for lots of free patterns. This yarn is listed there but only 2 jumpers for adults have been made fom it.

The link below takes you to a list of all the acrylic/metallic blend yarns in Ravelry's database so you can see the projects others have made with similar yarn.

search on the name of the yarn to find what has been knitted in it. More choice to search DK jumper/sweater and then double check the tension when you find one you like.

    And this one.

As others have said, most double knitting patterns would be fine for this yarn.

Does the lady in question wear jumpers or cardigans ? You could always knit a nice lacy scarf with it.

To find patterns for specific yarns on ravelry you need to type in the name of the yarn, so for yours I looked on the poundland website, saw it was labelled Knitting essentials -and your pic gave the colour as white sparkle.

So if you type in knitting essentials white sparkle in the search box you should get these two jumpers as well as other things you could make with similar yarn.

Give it a go and you'll know what to do next time.

On the link I posted, your yarn is the first on the list and to the right just above the star rating it says '127 projects'. Click there and it takes you to a page with small pics of all the projects. Click the drop down menu that says
'filter these projects' and click the yellow folder that says 'craft' - click knitting.
Go back to the same drop down menu and this time click the folder marked 'Pattern Category' then 'Clothing' then 'Sweater' then All sweater. The two patterns for adults I found in this yarn are there.

psso gave the direct links but if you ever want to browse Ravelry database yourself, it's better to know how the results were found.

Don't forget that my original link lists 22 other DK sparkle yarns so you can follow the same process to look at all the other projects made from acrylic/metallic mix.

She always wears jumpers and cardigans in the colder weather and this is when she wants the jumper for.
