Osborne: Scrapping HTB would be "intergenerational theft"

    We all know that the only answer is to build more houses....

    And we all know HTB made the builders build more houses
    And we all know HTB has a negative impact on new build inflation (HTB1)
    And we all know that HTB didn't have an impact on HPI because the areas with the biggest HTB uptake had the lowest HPI.

    Maybe there's a case to phase out HTB2, but I really can't understand why anyone would be opposed to HTB1.
    Don't blame me, I voted Remain.
