Probation period - mortgage

I started a new job a few months ago and have been waiting for my probation period to officially end before applying for an increased mortgage so we can move to a larger house.
Impatient as I am I've seen a house for sale I'd like to pursue, so my question is - would we be able to get an offer in principle even though my probation period doesn't end for another month (providing of course that it ends before we actually take the mortgage out), or will they not even consider me until then?
I'm keen to get the process going ASAP, and may I add there is no reason why the probation period won't end successfully (but understand that the banks need evidence for this).
Thank you

Speak to a broker.
There are lenders who will do it but not many.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Agree with ACG and to add some of the ones that will are likely to want unbroken employment history for 12-18 months

Thanks both,
We will absolutely speak to an advisor, I didn't know whether anyone had any direct experience of it. Hopefully a new much better paid job won't be too much of a problem!0 -
An independent mortgage broker - not an EA advisor.0
