Loan advice

Morning all.

I'm heading back to studying a year-long postgraduate course from September.

The college unfortunately doesn't support Career Development Loan applications, and I've already had a student loan through my University course a number of years ago.

Are there any grants or loans I could apply for that would be either low interest or potentially no strings (unlikely I know).

In an ideal world I'd be looking to borrow £12k. And for what it's worth, I am a homeowner with a very good credit rating. Any thoughts or ideas would be very welcome.

Thanks so much in advance.

Stephen.

Are you/would you be employed during this period? If not, how do you plan to fund repayments if you had a "normal" loan?

You might also want to check with the student loans company anyway, as occasionally they will "lend again" so to speak.

Edit: Also, the first reply is spam, please ignore :)

I agree with Pmartin you should check first the college's student loan programs if you can avail that. Also you can check online if there are private companies or even if your government offers scholarship or student loan programs as well.
  • I guess I have a similar question as I have just been accepted on a course to obtain my PHD it's a 3 year course I am 29 Not born in the UK but I have my Uk passport, I have worked since I have been here (3years) also I finished my masters and that degree is paid for. I am finding it hard as well to find assistance with financing. The course is a 3 year intensive program not allowing time to work. Is there anyway to get a loan that I would allow me to complete my course and start repayment of the debt when I am finished
