DS is going to a festival and wants to know if he can eat tins of Heinz sausage and beans without heating them first? I think they get cooked during the canning process, but I'm not sure?

You're correct, they're already cooked and safe to eat from the tin without heating0

Yup, if he doesn't mind cold beans and what passes for sausages then yes, it will be fine. xmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

yep - anything canned can be eaten straight from can! which is why cooking instructions on the can say to heat gently. my granddaughter never, ever, eats anything from cans hot. She is only six, but has always insisted on canned food being ate cold! meatballs in gravy or tomato sauce - cold. Sausage and Beans - cold! Hotdogs - cold! she just says 'I like them cold'!0
