  • We're still waiting for our application to make it's way to the underwriters (Post Office are about a week behind). The only small complaint I have is that L&C took 4/5 working days to get our documents to the PO BUT... it would have taken a couple of days for us to post them anyway so it's not a huge delay AND they have been so good in every other way that I honestly think it's a small price to pay. They've been great with finding us the right mortgage (I'm on a contract and it wouldn't even have occurred to me that might be a problem, we'd have wasted a lot of time and money going to a lender who might not like that), they're quick to answer queries, update us and just general hand-holding.

That sounds promising thanks for the feedback, we are off to view houses tomorrow, I'm feeling a lot more comfortable after what you've said.

I used them a few years ago, the advisor was called mark cooper and i must say he was very good. Not sure if he still works there.
But once we had our mortgage offer, the new case handler needed to chased up regularly, but seemed ok as long as you did.
Would use mark cooper again, but work for a mortgage broker now, so will just do it all myself next time!

I found L&C very efficient and friendly for my recent remortgage.

I wouldn't use their 'recommended solicitors' again though - Beaumont Legal were useless. I had to keep getting L&C to chase them. They didn't return calls, didn't keep me informed, only called when they wanted money! But every time I called L&C to complain Beaumont got straight back to me... I shall be using my own solicitor next time!
