Motor Mile Finance HELP!!!

I am currently (well trying to) deal with Motor Mile Finance and they are a nightmare, Really pushy. After telling them i am dealing with Step change to set up a TPP they are texting & emailing me everyday and calling me upto 4 times a day. I do not answer the phone as im at work but when i google the number its them.

In previous correspondence with them i have told them i only want to communicate via email.

How can i get them to stop calling me every day??

  • Write to them stating you wish to deal with them in writing only. If they continue to call you can report them to OFT for harassment. I'm not sure on the specifics but someone will have that to hand.

Reiterate any DMP reference you have and refer MMF to the DMP provider for full financial breakdowns and offers of payment being made.

MMF are notorious for being the most ignorant, arrogant and rude of the bunch. So don't expect them to shut up easily. That's why the OFT are available to give them a slap on the wrists if they carry on.

Another option is to raise a formal complaint with the company and then escalate it to the ombudsman (Which costs them time and money to deal with).
If all else fails can you get your provider to block their number?

Having dealt with them myself, I understand where you are coming from, I`m afraid they ignore letters and emails, they flout the law, and they don't adhere to the data protection act, of course they do on paper, but in practice they are one of the worst offenders at breaking the rules, I found it totally pointless trying to deal with them, they didn't want to know, official complaint route does quiet them down a bit, but don't expect a positive outcome, best hope is that they get tired and sell on to someone else :(
