State pension paid weekly?????

I am due to get my state pension on 24th July,which is a Thursday,and my birthday is that day,also,my NI number ends in 60,which is also the day they pay out those pensions,I am trying to find out if I can be paid weekly,or is it now that I have to be paid 4 weekly??Thanks.

The default method of payment is four weekly but if you ask you can be paid weekly. The DWP staff do not have to offer this to you but I believe they cannot refuse the request. It may be necessary to ask to speak to someone else if they refuse.

It may, in my experience, be necessary to ask for it and then, when they have ignored your instruction, phone up and repeat it. Eventually you'll get it weekly, no doubt.

have you already filled in your claim form?If not,I was told to put the request for weekly pay in the 'any other information box' and it worked for me(been drawing my pension weekly for about 2 years now) HTH
