changing twitter handle / name - advice needed

Thanks for all of the replies. Lots of info to consider here for me. I don't enter that many rafflecopters anyway, but I understand that the manually inputted @name bit would be voided.

I understand that those running the RC comp would check that you do indeed follow them and it wouldn't work but, on most rafflecopters, I also do the 'tweet this' option though and I assume that would be clicked on to check and would reveal my change of username.

Can anyone who runs a RC comp let me know if you do get the url info for our 'tweet this' tweet?

Yep, the host will get the URL that you paste into the box, they can click on it and it will come up with whatever the daily retweet link is

I went ahead and changed it earlier today but I did also set up a new account with the old handle to redirect people too just in case. (and because I wanted the option of keeping the old handle in case I changed my mind and wanted it back).

I think I am just going to keep a holdle of my handle cos I don't think I could honestly handle losing a holdle of my handle! It would cause a whole lot of hassle and who needs hassle just because they don't keep a holdle of their handle!? Now say that fast when you've had a drink later!
