LA Fitness membership transfer

Hi,
I paid up front for a years LA Fitness membership ( until Feb 2015) Last week I got an email saying that my contract has been sold
to Sports Direct and I am now their member. The service Sports Direct offer is greatly reduced to that which I paid for with LA Direct. Is there anything I can do to resolve the issue? Is anyone else on the forum affected by this problem? Hope you can help as I'm banging my head against a brick wall so far...
