Will we be missing anything if we don't explore Guernsey?

A strange question, but I am trying to work out the right decision for our holiday this year.
We will be using Guernsey as our airport destination, but then heading off to different islands.
Our time does not really allow for us to explore Guernsey itself, and I am wondering whether the sacrifice one of the island visits in order to see Guernsey if there is anything of significance to see.
I wondered if anyone has been with their families and knows of any must see destinations on Guernsey itself?
Many thanks

Which other islands are you going to ? Guernsey is nice and has some good restaurants but it would help if we knew what you would be missing out on.0

Hi there!
I've been to Guernsey to visit relatives quite often although haven't explored the island as much as I would like to. It is one of my favourite places though - I don't think many places can beat it in nice weather!
It's a cross between England and France (as you would expect) and the harbour and cobbled lanes are really lovely, as are many of the beaches (e.g. Fermain Bay) and coasts (e.g. Icart Point). I've also been to Sark and Herm, but not Jersey or Alderney.
Personally, I would choose Guernsey over Herm, but Sark is my overall favourite island because it is unusual and quaint (no cars allowed, unusual way of life, great to cycle around).
I'd recommend Sausmarez Park and Castle Cornet as places to visit in Guernsey - and go out to dinner on the sea front at Cobo if you can

Thanks we will be visiting Herm, Sark and have a favourite hotel we go to in Jersey, so Guernsey will be our fly in destination, and then fly out from Jersey.
I feel bad, we will probably have 4 hours to do a quick explore but that will be all. Any need to see places for that short period of time?

I'm currently posting this from guernsey (Cobo, in fact!). It depends what you're interested in and when you're over (a few events are held over summer, the visit guernsey website has a list of things on). Castle cornet is good (and amazing views, it's also in St. Peter port which is the town with the harbour you sail from to visit herm and sark). If you're going to herm and sark be aware they can be dusty. One tourist was commenting on this, it only as there's no cars, so no Tarmac - if you go to sark, take the tractor up the hill from the harbour - it's a big hill!
Hope you have a great time, herm and sark are beautiful!0
