Remortgage before Scottish Independence or after?

I've just come out of a fixed rate mortgage and would like to get another fixed rate for the next few years but the house prices here have gone down and I'm also not sure if I should wait until the Scottish independence vote to see if it makes a difference to house prices and mortgage deals. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

Anyone on here who thinks that they can second guess the result of the vote and the subsequent effect of house prices on the Isle of Lewis is deranged.

I can't see Scottish independence making a great deal of difference to house prices, so I'd just sort out a fixed rate now, if you think that's best for you at the moment.
