I have three My Book Premium and they are excellent. Haven't tried the other type.

I have the 500g myBook. It is fantastic, I thought it was a bargain when it was £99!

I use the MyBook, too. Had it for a while and used it regularly without any problems. A very good back-up medium.

I've got the 400GB elements, no problems here. Using it to back up all system and data on my mac.

I have both the wd book and the elements hard drives .Both are fine but the elements one seems to get quite hot when in use.
