How do you decide on a theme?!

So far then....

Making my own wedding dress (style yet to be decided, but likely to be tea-length with lavender and green on it somewhere)

Collecting a lot of dried lavender to make my own table decorations

Also collecting old newspapers to make bunting to decorate the hall, and to use to make the invitations

Any ideas on what I can do for chair covers? Hiring them is so expensive, but with them being red I think they may look better covered up

I'm literally just having things I like, keeping in mind whether they go together or not, not sure if I could handle the stress of a theme!
