I'd like to start supplementing my diet with Flaxseed.
Can anyone recommend some that isn't super expensive - or is it really a case of you get what you pay for?
TIA

"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".

I was going to start using flaxseed as someone had told me about it but to be fair its more expensive and allegedly not as good as my current fish oil tablets and with no more health benefits but if you do want to buy it there is currently Buy one get one half price at Holland & Barrett http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/shop/vitamins-supplements/linseed-flaxseed/#utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&gclid=CIPNkMbJtb8CFYrJtAodaHcAsw&totalNumRecs=15&rpp=15

Thanks - I'll take a look. To be honest, it wasn't for the fish oils that I was going to take it. Is that the only benefit?"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being"."Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that"."True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".:rotfl:0 -

according to the above link that I put in my post it is mainly for the Omega 3, most other claims have not been proven or have been proven to not work. Have a look at the link and see what you think.
It also explains that it has to be ground to get any benefits and not eaten as a seed.

Golden Flax Seed from Aldi is cheap and has gone through a process to aid digestion and release the nutrients . Very beneficial for IBS sufferers + the health benefits !0 -
Have you tried your usual supermarket? Tesco has golden linseed for £1 for 250g. You can blitz it in a spice grinder if you want. It's a good source of fibre.0
