Gift bag of useful stuff for bride - ideas?

Hi

I'm going to my sis-in-law to be's hen do this weekend and we've been asked to bring stuff for a gift bag for the bride, to be made up of useful stuff for the wedding day and honeymoon, can be anything we think she would like/find useful.

I don't know any of the other guests so don't know what they are bringing. I've bought a mini sewing kit and am attempting to make her one of those personalised wedding dress hangers, but wondered what you all needed on your wedding day that wasn't immediately obvious?

TIA.

  • You can get some of those personalised hangers really cheap (if not having much luck doing it yourself). My Mum got me one on Etsy which she said was quite expensive, but then she found (again on Etsy) much cheaper ones and got them for the bridesmaids. You could also maybe get a personalised champagne flute for her to use the morning of the wedding?? With "Mrs Smith" (whatever her name is) or something like that??

How about some things like plasters, breath mints or freshner, deodorant wipes - things like that? Or will they just be in her way on her day I'm not sure..
  • Mini bottle of champagne? painkillers, blister plasters, perhaps some personalised flip flops (that say Mrs XXX)

Powder paper if you can still get it for freshening up, deo wipes, maybe a mini perfume?

Champers and a flute would be lovely, and I second painkillers :)

  • Painkillers, Proper blister plasters (also maybe some of those gel inserts for your shoes if she's going to be in heels) tissues, safety pins, bobby pins or hairgrips, perhaps a mini can of hairspray? Clear nail polish 9broken nails, snagged stockings etc) Maybe see if you can get a 5ml sample of the perfume she will be wearing on the day?
Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!?

Thanks for all your help everybody - it's this Friday so don't have enough notice to get personalised stuff made now and only got this email last night!

I will get a little selection of powder paper, mints, painkillers, mini champagne etc. and carry on with the hanger - I found some pretty good instructions online and I'm pretty crafty so should be ok (fingers crossed).

maybe a mint or hard sweet so her mouth doesn't get too dry before saying her vow's.

If false nails are on a small tube of fast bond glue (only saying this as my nail fell off just minutes before I got married).
