Tuesday 8th July - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the Debt-Free Wannabe trail we do loads of big "stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the Gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free...
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending. :money:

Morning everyone.
Well yesterday was my last day in work. I get made redundant at the end of the week, but I'm on leave now until I finish. Tomorrow I start a charity walk along the length of the Liverpool-Leeds Canal - 127.25 miles in 4 days. I'm really not prepared at all. Gulp.
Today I've been buying a few bits and pieces for packed lunches, then I'll travel up to Liverpool this evening ready for a 0630 start in the morning. Probably wont get chance to post much (if at all) while I'm away, so will catch up with everyone's posts next week.Debt free since December 2015. It can be done0 -
Good luck with your walk!
Today I will:
Go for a walk
Not take any cards out with me or any money out of the bankDebt at highest - June 2013 - 26k/ March 2018 - 2500

Hello all
Back at work and hubbie has gone in too for a couple of hours so it feels like we are (almost) getting back to normal.
Today I got a lift in, had breakfast at home and have brought a packed lunch. In my fridge I have got burgers, sausages, curry, bolognese, loads of salad and other veg. Need to squash some of it in the very full freezer and make sure we eat whatever has the shortest date.
I will check bank accounts later. Hubbie is going to ring motorbike insurance company - have realised that I am still paying monthly premiums (£77 a month for a broken bike) so I guess it's not in their interest to make a speedy decision on the claim. We shall try to get things moving.
Have brought in a bunch of bananas for colleagues. They were please and it makes a change to cake!
Have a great walk Karb. We walk along that canal when we visit the relatives up north (though just a couple of miles not the whole thing). There are some good pubs along the way
Best wishes to all x0 -
