Thinking about treating myself to a dishwasher.

Options
I am going to get a new kitchen fitted shortly and am considering getting a slimline dishwasher.

I have a small kitchen so wouldn't be able to consider a full size one.

Can anyone advise what I should be looking for in terms of features ect? I also don't want to pay of the odds, just a standard one would be ok.

Check how long the cycle is and how much water and electricity it uses. Mine has a 40 minute quick cycle and a 2 hour 30 minute normal cycle but it is full size so not what you are looking for.

Best of luck and you will wonder how you managed without!

Cheapest slimline Bosch will do the job.

Ours is now ten years old and no problems whatsoever. The quick wash takes 30 minutes, auto sensing cycle starts off saying 120 minutes, but in reality ends up taking 90 minutes or so.
  • Thanks icefall and davey.

I've been very happy with our slimline Beko one. It has a 30 minute cycle and a couple of other choices up to a long 70 degree one. When I rang the customer helpline they were very good.

Another vote for a slimline Bosch, ours is over six years old and never had to contact the customer helpline.:p

I'd go for Bosch as well.

  • Thanks for the advice and recommendations. Unfortunately I can't afford a Bosch.
