Ok, so I'm not serious - I just wanted to make you guys giggle :-D
Trying to convince The Boss that we want a giant piggy bank to use instead of a post-box, as EVERYONE seems to have either an actual mini post-box for cards, or a suitcase... any other ideas? (He's currently against the pig... he says he wouldn't be able to find a balloon large enough...)

Officially saved enough to cover the cost of our wedding! :A

I'd be creeped out by a giant papier mache pig at a wedding; I side with your OH on that front.
What is your theme?0 -
Post box for what? Don't people just put gifts on a gift table & be done with it?I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

You'll be known as Miss Piggy for ever more!:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

Does a giant piggy bank not suggest too much that it's money you're after from your cards? I'm not a big fan of the idea personally.0

I think it sounds fun. Punch ballons are usually cheap and they are fairly big.0

The theme is 'Kids Party' (it's at a park, and we've got a bouncy castle, and it's super childish, we're going to have scooters :-D)
And I hadn't thought of it being sort of money-grabbey... was just thinking for the cards (the gift list is all to be delivered, so it seems a bit silly to have a 'gift table' but people often like to take cards to a wedding, I certainly do!) instead of the cliche postbox!
And yes, that picture creeped me out... thanks for that!
HBS... :-D THAT'S AWESOME... I SHALL SHOW HIM AND HE SHALL PUT HIS PROP MAKING ABILITIES INTO PRACTISE
Interestingly, we were trying to describe papier macher to my romanian colleague... they don't have it in romania...Officially saved enough to cover the cost of our wedding! :A0 -
Or have a collection of inflatable pigs around a 'trough' (large plastic storage box painted wood effect with a slot in the lid) and use the 'trough' as the postbox.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

Google-fu did not allow me to find one in the UK, but this would be a cool alternative to a pig...

(Remember them from parks when you were little?)
