How many kids are we talking? Boys or girls, ages?

If you moved to a 2 bed you could either have them share a room or you sleep in the living room on then ights they are at yours.

You need to add up ALL outgoings, regardless of what account they come out of. Every single outgoing needs to be accounted for before you can even start to realistically deal with the situation.

You earn alot. You should be able to get out of it without DMP or IVA BUT you have to understand that sacrifices have to be made and that includes your kids making sacrifices too. Sharing a room used to be the norm, kids now are spoiled by paretns trying to please them. You need to make cuts, the reduction in rent for losing a bedroom is one of the easiest.
I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

  • The child maintenance is agreed between me and the ex - it should be about half but I cant do anything there until after she remarries later this year

You can go to the CSA and they will enforce an arranagement

    approx 15% 1 child
    20% 2

    25% >2

I am not sure her remarrying would affect maintenance - unless you are agreeing to pay for her also.

If your wages vary - so should your maintenance

Technically, your child maintenance should stay the same after she remarries - the only thing that would normally affect it is you having more kids...

However, you could tell her that you are going to reduce it gradually over the next few months to the level after her marriage. This will make it easier for her to adjust than one big drop.

Why? This makes no sense if you share the care of your children. Saying that, you don't seem to have budgeted for any children related costs, so a bit confused with your arrangement.
