DIP for Help to buy equity

Hi could someone please let me know the process of applying to find out wether or not we would be accepted for a help to buy equity mortgage?
Is it the same as a standard mortgage?
If we can't get htb equity then we won't be buying a newbuild as we don't have the 20% deposit needed and will have to look at an older cheaper home. So we really need to know if we would be approved or not.
We have a meeting with halifax advisor on Friday for a mortgage promise, they have told us to take 6 weeks pay slips, details of current mortgage, debt etc, not sure if she thinks we actually want to apply for full application on the day, we don't!
The new house don't go on sale till the beginning of September.
Will they give us one for the htb equity scheme with how much we can borrow and a seperate one for a standard mortgage or just the one? The only reason for us going to halifax is we bank with them, and halifax still offer htb equity for homemovers direct in branch.

apply direct for the htb onlineDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
