I'm not sure that Phase Eight sells even one thing that could be described as tarty. Some of it is horrifically frumpy, but there are some good bargains in the sale.

Mr Shoe made me to in on the off chance when looking for a dress for a summer ball. It wasn't at all tarty but my word it was 70s style. It was like something from the beginning of the Poseiden Adventure. Maybe it was that one store and this season as I've seen some pretty dresses there before but brown lace gowns were really bad.

Love Boden dresses though and don't find them frumpy. I have a few but am not really a dress kind of girl so don't make the most of them.

Yes- some phase eight is very tarty. It is a store that lacks an identity- has some nice stuff- has some that wouldn't look out of place on a drag queen.

Cheap lace (well any lace but theirs is cheap) , sequins, silver, fabric satin shoes, fringes on dresses (cowboy tart style).

Me too much classier workwear than boden imo

Classier? not the same as classic.

I cant see anything in phase eight that could be described as classic.

    I've been Money Tipped!
What extroardinary snobbery on this thread!!!!

I like Boden and phase eight and I dress very classic and phase eight dresses are cut right fo rme.
Just bought the brown lace dress; didn't look much on a hanger but fits beautifully and my husband in the shop with me loved it; so there you go. Daughter didn't scream tarty when I showed her and she would have made me take it back if it had been atrocious.

Sorry I offended your dress :). It did look dreadful on the hanger and as a pale as a ghost blonde brown lace does nothing for me. Last year they had a dress with pink and silver that was so gorgeous I was desperate for an invite somewhere as an excuse to buy it. Good job we're all different otherwise there'd be nothing to my taste left in the sales and we'd all be clones of each other. Now I'm worried as the Boden dresses I wanted are still left in the colours I like and it's the brown that sold out first ;). Maybe it's me who has the odd taste and buys everything blue.

Just a bump to say that although the sale is over - things have moved to the 'clearance' section. Delivery and returns are free at the moment too.

This is just for new customers isn't it? Or is there a code floating around?
