Mobile SIM only Contracts Whilst BR

Hi, I was wondering if anybody had any luck with the Mobile month by month SIM only contracts. You can get a much better deal than PAYG plus I can build up confidence with a provider so that I can get a decent phone once I am in a position to be able to afford it.

Not quite what you are asking, I know but I switched from a full contract to SIM only 12 month contract just after my BR. I stayed with the same provider and was due an upgrade so I didn't have any credit checks. I didn't owe any money to them and although I put a phone allowance in my SOA, the company weren't named. I just kind of let it slip through. I don't know about starting from scratch though. I'm sure someone will be along soon who can shed some light.

  • Starting from scratch will be difficult although not impossible for mobile contracts most including sim only deals will require a credit check as owlet said if you stay with the currrent provider it's usually not an issue staying with them....

if not have a look at giff gaff they run as a virtual network with o2 for around a tenner a month (their goody packs) you can get a pretty decent allowance calls/txt data..and as they're PAYG no commitment or credit checks

Do you get 1GB data, unlimited Txts, 500 UK minutes, free 0800/0500 numbers?
